Size of Baby: 4.5 inches (about the size of an apple).
Sleep: A little better now that I have an awesome pregnancy pillow.
What I Miss: well yesterday we went out on a boat and everyone was jumping off the roof into the water but I couldn't :( womp womp womp... besides that, the usual.
Cravings: Still haven't got my Mexican food fix (besides what I cook myself, and that doesn't count).
Symptoms: bodyaches... :( ughh...
Fetal Movement: I don't think I felt anything this week.
Best Moment This Week: Being able to hear my little baby's heartbeat again at my OB checkup. :)

Quick Update: I had my 2nd OB visit today. It went by really quickly. All they did was take my weight & blood pressure, measure my uterus, and listen to the heartbeat. Everything looked great! I also got to schedule my anatomy/gender ultrasound for October 28. Seems sooooo far away!!! I can't wait!

I've been browsing through nursery stuff during class a lot lately, and the only crib I've found that I actually like costs $750. No, I will never spend that much money on a crib, but I'll show you the one I daydream about anyway:
I really like grey cribs for some reason, and I've only found about 3 or 4 online. This is the only one I liked. I don't like cribs with uneven rails. I don't really like anything fancy, either, which is why I'm so surprised this is so expensive. D wanted to build a crib for our little bugger but when he factored in costs it would probably cost more than your average Target crib. I surprisingly couldn't find any I liked there, though, so maybe he can build baby this one.
I also started thinking about bedding and stuff.
I like this for a boy:
and this for a girl:
Yes, my baby's bedding will have skulls on it.
Although, I also like this for a girl (minus the weird picture of a girl on a swing),
even though it's totally fancy like I just said I didn't like:
Baby will have stuffed animals like these:
***UPDATE 9/15/11: D read my blog and said we had to get these right away, so we just ordered them! :) Now I can tell them where you can find them: here.***
I also like the idea of having the baby's name hanging like this, although I'll probably paint my own letters so I can put little calaveras in there or something cute:
and a rocking chair with a pillow like this for mama:
But really, this is another thing I can't plan until I found out whether my tiny baby is a boy or a girl.
I'm getting impatient!

Last weekend the south shore got a pretty nice swell. But now that I'm in my second trimester and my belly is getting bigger, I was advised to stop surfing for the remainder of my pregnancy. :( Last time I surfed I noticed the pressure on my belly, especially when coming up after a duck dive, so I'm heeding the precaution. I don't want to hurt the little baby growing in my belly.
On the bright side, I'll be able to spend more time taking pictures of my little baby's daddy surfing for him/her to enjoy when he/she is older and also ripping.
This spot was a little far out so I wasn't able to get super good pics. Maybe that'll be an excuse to get a more powerful lense?

Size of Baby: 3 1/2 Inches - About the size of a clenched fist.
Sleep: Not so good. I've been having body aches and it's been really hard for me to get comfortable.
What I miss: surfing, skating, sprinting, Monsters, Jack & coke
Cravings: Mexican food. I can't wait to get back home already.
Symptoms: I haven't really had any symptoms other than the body aches.
Fetal Movement: I was lying in bed the other night and I thought I felt flutters. From what I've read, though, it's still too early to feel them. I don't know what else it could have been though. It definitely wasn't gas, as it was a completely different feeling. I guess it could have just been organs moving around or something.
Best Moment This Week: I had fun shopping at the Target baby sale and buying my little belly monster stuff.

I did a little baby shopping today. ;) I heard Target was starting to get some Halloween stuff in so I couldn't resist. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE Dia de los Muertos and Halloween and my house is decorated in calaveras all year long. So even though my baby won't be born anywhere near October/November, he or she will be rockin these outfits. I would have bought more but they were all more gender specific. I can't wait to find out already! 6 more weeks (just in time for the Halloween sales). ;)

Size of baby: 3 inches- About the size of a medium shrimp.
What I miss: The usual: deli meat, Monster energy drinks, sushi, wine.
Cravings: Oscar Meyer bologna sandwich on white bread with ruffles chips inside.
Symptoms: I have felt pretty good all week, besides being pretty tired. I think I'd be tired even if I wasn't pregnant, though, with the way my week went.
Best Moment this week: Well I think I made it to my second trimester. So many different resources say different things. Some say the second trimester begins at the end of Week 12, while others say it begins at the end of Week 13. I'm going to go with WebMD and the Mayo Clinic, which both say I'm now in my second trimester. :)

Whew... what a week. I finished up my required pro-bono hours to graduate (60 hours) and my second week back at school. I already have tons of reading and homework to do but I'm hoping this semester goes by quickly. I can't wait to get to Texas in December! D was in Okinawa all week, but he got back yesterday morning with some presents. An Aquarius for me (a Japanese electrolyte drink that I LOVE) and a little stuffed shisa. A shisa is a creature from Okinawan mythology that is a cross between a dog and a lion. It is supposed to ward off evil spirits. This one happens to be super cute too. I visited D in Okinawa when he was there last summer. I loved it and hope to visit again one day. Now, back to enjoying my last day of my first trimester! :)
