Dear Baby Eva,
When your daddy got home from work yesterday I was lying in our bed working on your arrival playlist. I was originally going to dump the entire Pennywise discography on there & add some random songs from other bands but I figured I'd filter out some Pennywise songs too so it's taking me a while. Your daddy thought it would be a good opportunity to climb in bed next to me and sing you some songs.
I managed to sneak some pictures while he was singing you Nekromantix. They say you can hear bass the best so we like to play you bands with good basslines. When your Daddy sings to you he makes his voice extra-bascious, too, which is pretty silly. I wanted to film him but he wouldn't let me. You get really still while he's singing and then you start kicking when he stops. I don't know what you're thinking, but it's almost as if you stop moving so that you can pay attention and then start kicking when he stops as if to say "mooore!"
You stopped kicking me in the ribs and have started kicking me in the side of the belly, where your Daddy's hand is in the picture. My ribs are still sore and achy because now you push your little bum up against them all the time. It's okay, though. You'll be here soon and I'll miss having those little reminders that you're safe inside me. Still, your Daddy and I can't wait until you decide to grace us with your presence. I hope that we've done a good job indoctrinating you with good music and that you'll enjoy all our favorite bands. See you soon!
